Two songs etched in my Mexico memory

Two songs from Mexico are forever etched in my memory:

"Lay It Down" and "Lord, I Need You" both by Matt Maher.

On 10 de julio, exactly one month from my wedding, 10 de agosto, these two songs came on.  First at Conchita's tomb, where I literally laid my forehead down on the cold concrete stone of the tomb.  And immediately after that song, Raffy, who was great on the guitar and singing all week, played "Lord, I Need You" and I remember Jonathan's voice beside me, his face also down, as we sung from the top of our hearts that we needed Him to move and keep forward.

Later that night praying before the Blessed Sacrament, with the priests and men praying, those songs came on again, this time with Mary answering my questions about writing and mission.

Lord, I lay it down at your feet because...Lord, I need you.

Amén.
